Kuyler's Hearing

I got a letter from the Parkridge East that Kuyler had failed his newborn hearing test a couple of days ago, so when I took him to the pediatrician yesterday, I discussed this with his doctor.

While Kuyler was in the hospital, I got a certificate that he has passed his test, and I was shocked that I had gotten this letter. I did remember the technician who gave him the test said that he passed in the right ear, but did not in the left when the test was done on both ears at once. When the technician did the left separately, he passed, so she gave me his certificate and told me to make sure that I kept an eye on this. I did not expect to get the notice because of this.

Well, to try to make this story short, twice the pediatrician administered the exam and each time he failed in either the left or the right ears. We have to have him checked again at two months old and if he fails again, then we have to go to a specialist in Knoxville.

The pediatrician told me that he might still have some fluid in his ears from his birth or it could be the fact he had a cold. I am trying to be positive and not worry because the Lord will take care of this, but I have to admit that I am concerned.
